Julia Krajewski leads after Luhmühlen cross-country

Germany's Julia Krajewski maintained her lead with Uelzener’s Nickel after the cross-country phase at the Longines Luhmühlen Horse Trials CCI4*-S on June 20.

Krajewski and the 12-year-old gelding added four time penalties to their dressage score of 22.9. They remain on course for the German national title and World Championships selection.

The rider called the round faultless and praised the horse’s fluency and genuineness. No competitor achieved the optimum time of 6 minutes 40 seconds on the hot and humid day.

Lara De Liederkerke-Meier moved into second with four time penalties on Kiarado d’Arville. Malin Hansen-Hotopp sits third after incurring 6.8 time faults.

Samantha Lissington retired Delarado but completed a clear round with Lucas Stone. Andrew Hoy also jumped clear with Vassily De Lassos for 4.8 time penalties.
