Julian Klincewicz revives forgotten Vans Style 31 silhouette

Artist and director Julian Klincewicz has unveiled a new collaboration with Vans OTW that brings back the classic Style 31 sneaker. The release draws on his Southern California roots and pairs the shoe with the Old Skool 36 and a clothing capsule.

The collection went live on the Vans OTW website with several colorways of the Style 31. Klincewicz said the shape appealed to him because of its simple and floppy feel compared with more padded options like the Lampin. He added that the 31 had been a secret gem in the Vans archive for decades and deserved wider recognition alongside staples such as the Authentic or Slip-On.
