Kawasaki returns to large two-stroke motorcycles with KX 327 models

Kawasaki has announced two new full-size two-stroke motorcycles after more than two decades. The KX 327 and KX 327X feature an all-new fuel-injected 327 cc engine.

The Japanese manufacturer unveiled the KX 327 motocross model and the KX 327X cross-country variant. Both bikes use a new engine designed to blend traditional two-stroke traits with modern fuel injection for stable performance across varying conditions. The aluminum perimeter frame draws from the KX450F platform. Suspension comes from KYB, while Nissin supplies the brakes. The KX 327X includes a six-speed transmission, a 2.2-gallon fuel tank, and a side stand, whereas the KX 327 uses a five-speed close-ratio gearbox. Pricing is set at $9,099 for the KX 327 and $9,699 for the KX 327X. Both models are scheduled for availability in the US in late 2026.
