Koei Tecmo America and developer Team Ninja have launched a new demo for the upcoming action RPG Nioh 3. Available on PlayStation 5 and Steam, the demo lets players explore early game content and earn a bonus item for the full release. The game is set to arrive on February 6, 2026.
On January 29, 2026, Koei Tecmo America announced the release of a brand-new demo for Nioh 3, their dark samurai action RPG developed by Team Ninja. The demo is accessible on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC through Steam, offering players a chance to delve into the game's early stages before its full launch on February 6, 2026. Participants can create custom characters and navigate the chaotic Warring States period of Japan, including a challenging boss battle against Jakotsu-baba. The experience supports both solo play and online multiplayer for up to three players, though cross-play is not available. Importantly, save data from the demo will transfer to the complete game upon release, allowing seamless progression. To encourage participation, those who finish the demo by February 15, 2026, will unlock the Twin-Snake Helmet as an in-game bonus, usable in the full version. Note that players who claimed a similar reward from the prior PlayStation 5 Alpha Demo cannot obtain this one. Nioh 3 is now open for pre-orders in various editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition and a separate Season Pass are available digitally, while the SteelBook Launch Edition includes the base game plus two exclusive DLCs. All pre-orders qualify for an early purchase bonus, the Hellfrost Armor set, redeemable until February 20, 2026, along with additional armor sets inspired by protagonists from earlier titles: the Youngblood Armor (Samurai) and Lone Wolf’s Armor (Ninja). A limited physical PlayStation 5 edition, the Nioh 3 Treasure Box, is exclusive to the NIS America Store and bundles the base game with collectibles like a Scampuss Furball Netsuke Charm Keychain, an original desk pad, the official artbook, and a selection soundtrack CD. The game features Japanese and English voice acting, with subtitles in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. More details, including a gameplay showcase video, are on the official website.
