A leak indicates that Google's upcoming Pixel 11 base model will upgrade to a 50-megapixel camera but start with only 8GB of RAM, down from 12GB in the Pixel 10. The rumor covers the Pixel 11 series, including Pro models. Google has not confirmed any details.
An insider leak shared on Telegram by Mystic Leaks claims the base Google Pixel 11 will feature a 50-megapixel rear camera sensor, an upgrade from the 48-megapixel unit in the Pixel 10. This would align it with the 50-megapixel cameras already in the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, as well as devices like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The leak also mentions four color options—black, green, pink, and purple—for the Pixel 11, along with a 6.3-inch OLED display matching its predecessor and a 4,840-mAh battery. All models in the Pixel 11 series are said to run on the Tensor G6 processor. The phones are expected to follow Google's previous schedule and launch in August, though no official announcement has come from the company. A Google representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Mystic Leaks further states that the Pixel 11 base model will start with 8GB of RAM, a drop from the 12GB in the Pixel 10, amid ongoing RAM shortages driven by AI demands. Higher 12GB or 16GB options may be available at extra cost for Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold variants. The Pro models could introduce a light-up notification feature on the back, similar to Nothing's Glyph system, potentially branded as Pixel Glow. Online reactions to the leak have been mixed. One Reddit user expressed disappointment over the RAM reduction, while another called the camera upgrade solid but awaited processor performance details, especially with desktop mode on the horizon.
