Deputy Lilia Lemoine sharply criticized Vice President Victoria Villarruel for her posts on the Malvinas before the semifinal against England.
Lemoine accused Villarruel of nationalist populism and of endangering the Argentine national team with possible FIFA sanctions.
The vice president had labeled the British as pirate usurpers and mocked Karina Milei on social media. Lemoine responded by calling her a selfish and ridiculous fat woman.
On Thursday FIFA confirmed it would not apply sanctions to Argentina following the claim over the Malvinas Islands.
