TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning recalled forward Scott Sabourin from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, as announced by Vice President and General Manager Julien BriseBois.
Sabourin, a 33-year-old native of Orleans, Ontario, stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 205 pounds. In four games with Syracuse this season, he has tallied one goal and two points while accumulating seven penalty minutes.
Throughout his AHL career, Sabourin has appeared in 536 games across multiple teams, including the Crunch, San Jose Barracuda, Belleville Senators, Toronto Marlies, Stockton Heat, San Diego Gulls, Iowa Wild, Ontario Reign, and Manchester Monarchs. He has registered 89 goals and 183 points with 1,230 penalty minutes in those contests.
In the NHL, Sabourin has played 47 games with the Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, and San Jose Sharks, posting two goals and eight points along with 58 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut on October 2, 2019, against Toronto, scoring his first career goal on his first shot and finishing with four hits and a plus-1 rating.
Originally undrafted, Sabourin signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings on October 7, 2013.
