Linköping HC has added forward Tim Söderlund to its roster for the upcoming season. The player returns to the SHL after time abroad.
The club announced the signing of the Chicago Blackhawks draft pick on Thursday. Söderlund finished last season with KalPa in Finland, recording 25 points in 29 games.
Söderlund expressed enthusiasm about the move. “Linköping feels like a club with a clear ambition and it will be very inspiring to be a part of that effort,” he said.
Sportchef Broc Little highlighted the forward’s fit with the team. “Tim plays with high speed, great energy and is skilled at creating offense,” Little said.
The contract covers the next season. Söderlund has previously played in North America, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Finland.
