A large hot air balloon shaped like a Liseberg rabbit made an emergency landing on Thursday evening right in front of a residential building in Örgryte, Gothenburg.
The balloon, flown by the company Bungy Sthlm, landed on a grass area during a flight connected to the Gothia Cup. Police responded but determined that no one had been injured and that there had been no risk to others.
Police spokesperson Christian Brattgård confirmed it was an emergency landing. "No one has been injured and there has been no risk to anyone else", he said.
Flight chief Peter Magnusson at Bungy Sthlm explained that the landing was not fully predetermined. "We saw this nice field, and then we decided that 'here we can land'", he said. Police left the scene and the company packed up the balloon.
