A 52-year-old man died on Monday in Llanes, Asturias, after his tractor veered off the road and fell down a slope of about four meters. The accident happened on the Llamigu road around 7:28 p.m. Emergency services confirmed his death at the scene.
The incident occurred on the Llamigu road in Llanes when the Emergency Coordination Center of 112 Asturias received a call at 7:28 p.m. reporting that a tractor had plunged down a slope of more than three meters, with no initial information on whether anyone was trapped.
Firefighters from the Principality of Asturias Emergency Service (SEPA), based in Llanes, arrived at the scene and confirmed the driver was trapped and deceased. After obtaining judicial authorization, the firefighters performed the extrication of the remains, which were then taken to the road where funeral services were waiting.
According to the Urgent Medical Care Service (SAMU), the victim was a 52-year-old man. The dispatched medical teams, including the mobile ICU from Arriondas and the primary care team from Nueva de Llanes with a basic life support ambulance, could only certify his death.
The Civil Guard took charge of the procedures for removing the body. No further details on the causes of the accident have been reported.
