Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson as their first acquisition under manager Michael Carrick. The transfer is valued at around £38 million including add-ons and could be completed by the end of the week.
United are seeking to strengthen their midfield after the departure of Casemiro. Ederson has already agreed personal terms with the club, according to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano. The 26-year-old Brazilian has made 180 appearances for Atalanta since joining from Salernitana in 2022 and contributed to their Europa League success in 2024 with 16 goals and five assists.
