MARS Bromont CCI4* increases prize money to $50,000 for 2026

The MARS Bromont CCI4* event in Quebec will offer $50,000 in total prize money across its international divisions this year. This increase celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Montreal Olympics equestrian events held at the venue. Infrastructure upgrades and a continued sponsorship from MARS EQUESTRIAN highlight preparations for the June competition.

Bromont Horse Trials announced on March 11, 2026, that MARS EQUESTRIAN will serve as the title sponsor for the MARS Bromont CCI4* event, scheduled for June 4-7, 2026, in Bromont, Quebec. To mark the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where equestrian events took place at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park, the event will distribute $50,000 in prize money across the CCI4*-L, CCI4*-S, CCI3*-L, and CCI2*-L divisions, as well as the U-25 sections of the 3* and 2* levels.

Event organizer Sue Ockendon stated, “We are honoured MARS EQUESTRIAN is continuing its support of Bromont and international eventing for another season. Our elite competitors will be working towards the FEI World Championships at Aachen this summer, and Bromont will be a vital preparation run for our North American contenders. Having the ongoing support of MARS EQUESTRIAN allows us to continue improving the event, offer increased prize money and provide an exceptional experience for everyone involved.”

Infrastructure enhancements include new rubber-matted stalls and wider aisles in the top barn, while the lower barn features re-graded floors with new stone dust. Bridgett McIntosh, PhD, Director of Mars Equestrian, commented, “We are thrilled to continue our support of the Bromont Horse Trials and eventing in North America. Through this partnership we can continue to share Mars, Incorporated’s diverse portfolio of Confectionary, Petcare, Horsecare and Veterinary products and services to an international audience.”

The event, recognized as one of North America's most prestigious three-day international events, will feature dressage on Thursday and Friday, cross-country on Saturday, and show jumping on Sunday. Thursday evening includes a Red & White fundraiser for Equestrian Canada’s high performance eventing team, supporting their participation in the FEI World Championships in Aachen, Germany. Course design will be led by Derek DiGrazia, alongside Jay Hambly and Dylan Barry.

Additional offerings include the MARS Bromont Rising U25 scholarship program, with applications open until March 30, 2026, for up to 10 grants of $2,500 each, administered by the USEA foundation. Other events at the venue include “Little Bromont” on June 13-14 and Bromont CCI on August 14-16.
