ESPN analyst Mina Kimes believes the Pittsburgh Steelers' new defensive coordinator could help cornerback Joey Porter Jr. improve his ball production. Porter recorded one interception each in his first three NFL seasons.
Kimes made the comments recently on ESPN's NFL Live. She described Porter as a great young player who has improved and become more consistent after early concerns about penalties.
Kimes added that the scheme change under Patrick Graham might put Porter in better position to make plays on the ball. She referenced past critiques from Darius Slay about Porter's limited interceptions.
Porter has defended 31 passes in his career, including 14 last year. Graham previously helped players like Kyu Blu Kelly and Jack Jones increase their interception numbers.
