Missouri man charged in memorial day parking lot shooting

A 27-year-old man faces murder charges after fatally shooting a woman in a supermarket parking lot in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, on Memorial Day. The incident also injured a teenage employee at the store.

Allen Prince stands accused of one count of first-degree murder, two counts of assault, and three counts of armed criminal action. Authorities say he killed 45-year-old Amy Coon and wounded 16-year-old Ayden near Cosentino's Price Chopper on Missouri Route 7 just before 4:30 p.m. on May 25. Coon was pronounced dead at the scene, while the teen was shot twice and remains in stable condition at Children's Mercy Hospital.
