A forest fire declared at 13:15 in the area of Villanueva de los Castillejos in Huelva has been raised to emergency phase 1 of the Infoca Plan.
More than 110 ground personnel and 19 aerial assets are working to control the flames, which are spreading without control under northwest wind gusts of up to 35 km/h. Acting counselor Antonio Sanz has called for calm and prudence, noting there is currently no risk to the population. Mayor of San Bartolomé de la Torre María Eugenia Limón has urged maximum caution and thanked the professionals, while the Civil Guard keeps Camino del Matuloso closed.
