MSI Claw 8 EX AI Plus priced at $1,800

The MSI Claw 8 EX AI Plus PC gaming handheld carries an $1,800 price tag. The device includes an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor along with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.

MSI revealed the handheld a couple of weeks ago. The high cost stems from rising prices for memory and storage components.

MSI product marketing lead Andy Chu addressed the situation in comments to FRVR. He noted the difficult year for Intel and its partners because of those cost increases.

Chu also pointed out that even the Steam Deck now carries a higher price. He added that further price hikes remain possible and described the year ahead as tough for both the company and gamers.
