Muse revealed their tenth studio album, The Wow! Signal—due June 26 via Warner—by partnering with Sent Into Space to launch a tablet more than 20 miles into the atmosphere, premiering the music video for lead single “Be With You” while airborne. The LP follows 2022's Will of the People and includes the 2025 track “Unravelling,” exploring cosmic mystery via the 1977 'Wow!' signal.
The alt-rock band Muse announced The Wow! Signal, their 10th studio album, via a stunt launching a special tablet over 20 miles into the atmosphere with Sent Into Space. Airborne, they debuted the cinematic music video for “Be With You,” starring Ella Balinska (Resident Evil, The Occupant) and directed by Nico Paolillo (Deafheaven, Bad Omens). Pre-orders and pre-saves are available on Warner platforms.
The single opens with grand church organ, blending driving electronica and blistering guitar rock. Frontman Matt Bellamy sings: “It seems my light’s been swallowed up, I’ve used up every ounce of luck/ I need to leap into the fire/ Find a higher power, and reach for something new.” Later: “I feel my life has just begun, it can’t just be with anyone/ It’s got to be with you.”
The title references a 72-second radio burst from Sagittarius in 1977, detected with sequence “6EQUJ5”; astronomer Jerry Ehman circled it and wrote “Wow!” A press release calls the record “a mix of cosmic mystery, existential hope, and the exhilarating possibility of contact with something far greater than ourselves.” One track is “Cryogen.”
