Nike is preparing to launch the Air Liquid Max in a new Black Metallic colorway this fall. The model features distinctive wavy line details across the upper.
The sneaker introduces an all-new scheme on its textured nanoprint upper. Wavy lines inspired by Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures album cover wrap the sides and bend around chrome Swooshes at the quarter. The same pattern extends to the tongue.
A Dark Army midsole paired with orange Air bubbles provides contrast beneath the foot. Nike positions the design as a rugged, outdoorsy option following earlier releases including a Fragment Design collaboration and the Green Apple colorway.
The Black Metallic version carries style code IQ7635-002. It is scheduled to arrive in fall 2026 at a price of $220 in men’s sizes.
