The 2026 Nike Indoor Nationals will bring together over 5,500 high school athletes from 48 U.S. states and four Canadian provinces at The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York from March 12 to 15. The event features 16 U.S. number-one-ranked athletes and four national record holders competing on what is described as the fastest track in the world. New this year is state team scoring and an All-Star State Distance Medley Relay.
The National Scholastic Athletics Foundation (NSAF) is hosting the Nike Indoor Nationals on March 12-15, 2026, at The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory. This meet attracts top talent, including national record holders Mariah Maxwell, who set a 300 meters record of 36.24; her twin sister Mia Maxwell, who matched the 60 meters national record with 7.13 and nearly broke the triple jump record with 44 feet 6 inches; Tate Taylor, holder of 100 meters, 200 meters, and 300 meters records; and Yevhen Zhmailo, who broke the triple jump record with 52 feet 9.5 inches.
Other standout entrants include Blair Bartlett, who placed second at Nike Cross Nationals and Brooks XC National Championship, finished 16th at the World Athletics Cross Country Championship, and holds U.S. number-two all-time in the high school mile at 4:34.55. Natalie Dumas ranks U.S. number-one in the 600 meters with 1:28.10 and number-five in the 400 meters with 53.68.
The event introduces state team scoring, with athletes contributing points based on their state of origin, and culminates in the C & C All-Star State Distance Medley Relay, named after Cooper Lutkenhaus and Caden Leonard. Competing states for the girls' relay include California, Delaware, Washington, and New York; for boys, Colorado, Oregon, Texas, and Iowa.
