Former independent wrestler Nikki Blackheart has confirmed her new WWE ring name as Reina Volcán following her NXT debut last week. She announced the change on social media one day before the July 7 episode of NXT.
Blackheart made her unannounced NXT debut on the June 30 episode by attacking Tatum Paxley. WWE had not revealed a ring name at the time of the appearance.
On July 7 she posted on X to say farewell to her previous name. The message included thanks to her coach Gangrel and noted that the new name does not translate to Queen Volcano or Queen of Volcanoes.
WWE had already filed a trademark for Reina Volcán and used the name in the URL of her debut video on the company website. The announcement came hours before that evening’s NXT broadcast.
