Noah Kahan surprised fans by joining Hayley Williams onstage at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on April 28. The performance came during Williams' second of three nights at the historic venue as part of her first-ever solo tour. Kahan performed 'Downfall,' a highlight from his recently released fourth album, The Great Divide (April 24). He introduced the song by saying, “Thank you Hayley, you’re a legend.” Williams harmonized with him on the chorus, creating an intimate collaboration moment. Kahan co-produced and co-wrote 'Downfall' with Aaron Dessner and Gabe Simon, with backing vocals from Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. Hours after the album's release, Kahan issued an extended version, The Great Divide: The Last of the Bugs, adding tracks like 'Lighthouse,' 'Staying Still,' 'A Few of Your Own,' and 'Orbiter.' The album launch coincided with the Netflix documentary Noah Kahan: Out of Body, directed by Nick Sweeney, which follows his rise since Stick Season. Kahan has a sold-out stadium tour planned for this summer, including Rolling Stone's Stateside festival in Kingston, New York, on July 4. Williams, who released her latest solo album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party last year, continues her North American tour through next month before heading to the U.K. and Europe.
