Official dollar rises for fourth straight day in Argentina

The official dollar reached 1,480 pesos for sale on Friday, June 19, marking its fourth consecutive increase.

The official dollar traded at 1,430 pesos for purchase and 1,480 pesos for sale at Banco Nación, up 10 pesos from the previous close. The wholesale dollar stood at 1,461 pesos, also rising 10 pesos.

The blue dollar advanced 5 pesos to 1,480 pesos for sale. Meanwhile, the MEP rose 10 pesos to 1,478 pesos and the contado con liquidación fell 15 pesos to 1,493 pesos.

The S&P Merval dropped 1% to 3,301,709.93 points. Country risk held at 429 basis points. MSCI kept its assessment of the Argentine market unchanged in its Global Market Accessibility Review 2026.
