Law & Order: Organized Crime, a spinoff of Law & Order: SVU, has come to an end. The streamer confirmed the decision, ending the run that began with Meloni reprising his role as Elliot Stabler. The news marks the latest twist for a show that has seen multiple changes behind the scenes. The fifth season consisted of 10 episodes that premiered on Peacock in April 2025. It later aired on NBC in the fall. That season's production faced upheaval when showrunner John Shiban departed midway through, becoming the sixth person to leave that position during the series' run. Matt Olmstead, known for FBI: International, stepped in to complete the final episodes. The season finale, which began streaming on June 12 and now serves as the series finale, featured Stabler pursuing Julian Emery. Stabler considered killing Emery to avenge his brother Joe Jr., whom Emery had murdered, but he and Bell arrested the suspect instead. Evidence collected by Joe Jr. later emerged, voiding Emery's deal with the Department of Justice.
