The Petronio Álvarez Festival revealed the official program for its 30th edition, scheduled from August 9 to 17 in Cali with over 2,000 artists.
The commemorative edition will unfold under the concept La Casa Grande del Pacífico dialoga con el mundo, desde la raíz. It will feature 47 groups in competition, a Traditional Expressions Showcase with 183 exhibitors and the Global Afrodiasporic Summit from August 12 to 16.
Activities begin on August 1 with the No es agosto, es Petronio strategy at Teatro al Aire Libre Los Cristales. Petronito takes place on August 8 and the Bundeando pa’ la Casa Grande parade on August 9.
Ciudadela Petronio at Unidad Deportiva Alberto Galindo will host the contest, the Winners Meeting and the launch of the book Los Retratos de Petronio. Artists include Herencia de Timbiquí, Grupo Bahía and Masaka Kids Africana.
