Piper Niven publicly criticized Jade Cargill following Cargill's use of the Blackhole Slam during a WWE Night of Champions match against Tiffany Stratton. Niven suggested Cargill did not care who she hurt in the ring. The comments came after Stratton retained the Women’s United States Championship in Riyadh.
Jade Cargill challenged Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s United States Championship at WWE Night of Champions on June 27. Stratton retained the title after interference from Chelsea Green and Charlotte Flair, who struck Cargill with the belt.
During the match Cargill performed a Blackhole Slam on Stratton. Piper Niven, who regularly uses the move and has been sidelined since August 2025 with a neck injury, responded on social media.
Niven wrote that the execution rated "5/10 a bit sloppy" and added, "you didn’t transfer her weight onto your chest so you never really had her and that’s why she slipped out and you got that double bump effect and her head reverberated on the mat. But you looked great, and who cares who you hurt so long as you’re alright, right?"
Cargill has not responded to the criticism. Niven confirmed she received approval from retired wrestler Abyss to use the move and does not consider herself retired.
