Polework exercise improves dressage centre lines

Grand prix dressage rider Tania Grantham has shared a simple polework exercise using two poles and two cones to help riders improve balance, accuracy and straightness on centre lines.

The exercise focuses on treating the turn onto the centre line as half of a 10-metre circle, using a cone as the halfway point for a symmetrical curve. Riders then use the poles laid as tramlines either side of D to guide straightness forward toward the C marker.
