President Prabowo Subianto departed for Jakarta on Friday after completing his state visit to Paris from May 27-29, 2026. The trip produced a new high-level business council and four commercial agreements.
Garuda Indonesia-1 PK-GIF took off from Orly Airport in Paris bound for Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta. President Prabowo was accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya during the flight.
The send-off at Orly included a military ceremony attended by French officials such as Minister Eléonore Caroit and General Loïc Mizon. Prabowo received military honors from honor guard troops.
During the visit, Prabowo met President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace and attended a state dinner. The two leaders witnessed the formation of the France-Indonesia High Level Business Council led by Antoine de Saint-Affrique and Anindya Bakrie.
The business council produced four agreements worth 3.5 billion US dollars in energy, trade, and defense sectors. The forum targets tripling bilateral trade by 2035.
