President Prabowo Subianto plans to increase budgets for law enforcement agencies including the KPK and Kejagung to strengthen oversight of the free nutritious meals program.
The statement was made by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday June 4 2026. He said the budget increase is a consequence of efforts to prevent criminal acts of corruption in the implementation of government programs. The directive followed President Prabowo leading the National Consolidation of the MBG Program at the Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor Regency on Wednesday June 3 2026. Prabowo also asked law enforcement agencies to oversee all government programs using state budgets. Prasetyo affirmed that all ministries and agencies are already under routine BPKP oversight mechanisms. He stated the government is committed to combating the culture of corruption to the maximum extent.
