Prime Video Carrie series sets October premiere date

Prime Video announced that its series adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie will premiere on October 7 with all eight episodes released at once.

The announcement came during the streamer's panel at Comic-Con International. Showrunner Mike Flanagan revealed the launch details alongside the release of a teaser trailer.

Summer H. Howell stars as the title character in this contemporary reimagining. The cast also includes Samantha Sloyan, Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Josie Totah, Matthew Lillard, and Amber Midthunder.

Flanagan wrote the series and directed four of the eight episodes. The story follows Carrie White as she enters public high school after her father's death and navigates bullying and emerging telekinetic powers.
