Prime Video renews Every Year After for Season 2

Prime Video has renewed the romantic drama series Every Year After for a second season. The pickup was announced during the streamer's Obsessed Fest fan event.

The series, adapted from Carley Fortune's Barry's Bay novels, follows Percy Fraser as she returns to her hometown and reconnects with childhood friends. Season 1 premiered on June 10 with a full-season release.

Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, highlighted the show's strong audience response. He credited the storytelling, cast, and creative team for building a global connection to the Barry's Bay setting.

Season 2 will draw from the second novel, One Golden Summer, while continuing to focus on characters from the first season. Amy B. Harris is set to return as showrunner.

The renewal was part of Prime Video's celebration of its young adult programming slate.
