Evander Kane is doubtful after leaving a 3-1 loss at the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday due to a skate cut and missing subsequent practices because of illness. Conor Garland returns after sitting out two games with an upper-body injury. Thatcher Demko, who last played on Nov. 11, participated in a portion of Thursday's practice and could return next week. Nils Hoglander is practicing and may debut next week following preseason surgery.
