The R30 between Beatrix Mine and Welkom has been closed from 6pm Saturday until Sunday morning due to flooding. Free State Road Incident Management System chairperson Sipho Towa warned that the road is unsafe after a number of crashes.
Road users have been advised that the R30 between Beatrix Mine and Welkom is closed from 6pm Saturday evening until Sunday morning due to flooding.
Sipho Towa, chairperson of the Free State Road Incident Management System, said the road is unsafe and a number of crashes have already occurred. He added that warning signs and full traffic control were provided during the day on Saturday.
Road users are requested to exercise caution, obey traffic signs or use alternative routes.
