Red Hat launches OpenShift 4.22 update for AI workloads

Red Hat has released version 4.22 of its OpenShift platform. The update focuses on security, virtualization, and enterprise AI capabilities.

The new release introduces minimal UBI payloads designed to reduce attack surfaces through hardened security measures.

It also enables zero-downtime virtual machine migrations that maintain persistent IP addresses during simplified virtualization processes.

Additional features include expanded built-in platform intelligence for automated operations and frameworks to standardize distributed training for enterprise AI applications.

The announcement was made by Red Hat on July 14.
