Rick Devens received the Diamond Power of Veto after being selected for the BB Time Capsule twist on Big Brother 28. The power allows its holder to remove a nominee and make the replacement nomination. This follows the earlier assignment of the Hard Boiled Detective punishment to Angela Murray.
The BB Time Capsule on Big Brother 28 contains six punishments and six rewards. Houseguests activate them by pressing a button at specific times. Devens activated his reward successfully and earned the Diamond Power of Veto.
The Diamond Power of Veto lets the holder stand up after a regular veto meeting. They can remove a nominee and choose the replacement themselves instead of the head of household. Past winners used it for major blindsides.
Angela Murray previously received the Hard Boiled Detective punishment. It required her to wear a full costume for an entire week. Other historical punishments from the capsule include Lord of the Latrine and Hamazon.
