Sam Smith announces new album Hazel Eyes

Sam Smith has announced their fifth studio album Hazel Eyes and released the romantic single My Guy. The record is scheduled for release on August 21 via Capitol Records UK.

The singer-songwriter shared the news on June 24 along with the new track. My Guy features Smith’s soulful vocals over a minimal backing and includes the lines “And like all good things, it caught me by surprise / You could dream he’s yours all you want, but he’s mine / He’s my guy.”

Smith described the song as one they had been waiting a lifetime to write. It was created on a summer’s day in New York with longtime collaborator Simon Aldred and other friends. The full album was also recorded in part at Electric Lady Studios and includes contributions from Feist and Shahzad Ismaily.

Hazel Eyes follows Smith’s 2023 release Gloria and contains the 2025 single To Be Free. A 12-track tracklist has been revealed, with songs such as Everlasting Love, Moondance and To Be Free.

On June 26 Smith is scheduled to perform at the Booking.com Theater at the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center to mark the start of NYC Pride Weekend.
