Sheinbaum demands resolution of Jaguar Park conflicts before July

President Claudia Sheinbaum called out the head of CONANP during her visit to Tulum and announced the Tulum Renace Plan with ten actions for the tourist destination.

During her tour of Quintana Roo on Friday, Sheinbaum instructed Pedro Álvarez Icaza Longoria, commissioner of the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas, to quickly resolve conflicts arising from the management plan of Jaguar Park.

The president stated that it is necessary to govern with common sense and for the people, and ordered that issues with tourist service providers be resolved before the end of July.

As part of the Tulum Renace Plan, entry to Jaguar Park will be free for national visitors. Fees for the archaeological zone will be reduced to 80 pesos for Mexicans and 265 pesos for foreigners, with free access on Sundays.

The strategy also includes an electric mobility system in the park, coordination with the National Guard for tourist protection, and promotion campaigns for Tulum and other destinations in Quintana Roo.
