The Pittsburgh Steelers have added safety Jaquan Brisker on a one-year contract worth $5.5 million. Analyst Steve Palazzolo called the move a potential bargain and named Brisker his breakout player for the upcoming season.
The signing came after Mike Tomlin stepped down as head coach and general manager Omar Khan continued to rebuild the roster. Brisker, a 2022 second-round pick by the Chicago Bears, spent last season with them before becoming a free agent. Palazzolo discussed the deal on his Check the Mic podcast. 'He barely got paid,' he said. 'Brisker against the world here. He’s going to prove them wrong. He’s gonna be an enforcer for the Steelers. He’s getting a multi-year deal from someone else at the end of this season.' Brisker, 27, recorded 93 tackles, one interception and one sack in 2025. He is expected to add depth and versatility alongside DeShon Elliott and Jalen Ramsey in the Steelers secondary.
