Actress and social entrepreneur Stephanie Suganami has been added to the cast of Oliver Stone's upcoming film White Lies. She joins an ensemble that includes Josh Hartnett, Leila George, Michael Douglas, Willem Dafoe, Ellen Barkin, Homer Gere and Yvonne Chapman.
The project marks Stone's first feature as director since Snowden in 2016. He wrote the screenplay himself, which follows three generations and centers on Jack Freeman, a man repeating the patterns of his parents' divorce in his own life.
Suganami will portray Chika, a character who connects with Jack and his son Joe. The story examines themes of family, loss and personal rediscovery.
Producers include Fernando Sulichin, Maximilien Arvelaiz and Jordan Gertner. Executive producers are Tarak Ben Ammar, Gianluca Leurini, James Packer and Jose Luis Manzano.
