Superyacht service centre in Ajman enters operational phase

The Superyacht Service Centre in Ajman, UAE, has completed its final operational phases, activating key infrastructure for superyacht maintenance. This development strengthens the UAE's position as a global hub for luxury yacht services. The facility, part of Gulf Craft Group, is designed to meet growing demands in the Middle East's yacht market.

The Superyacht Service Centre (SYSC) in Ajman marks a significant milestone with the completion of its strategic operational phase. This includes the activation of vital infrastructure and the commissioning of core technical service capabilities, positioning SYSC as one of the most advanced specialist refit and maintenance centres for superyachts in the region.

Purpose-built to address the expanding needs of the Middle East's yacht market, SYSC represents a key expansion for Gulf Craft Group, which has over four decades of experience in marine manufacturing and services. The centre aims to enhance the UAE's national capacity for luxury yacht maintenance and solidify its role as a leading global hub for superyacht servicing.

A major component of the facility is a 600-tonne mobile boat hoist supplied by Cimolai, enabling the handling of yachts up to 60 metres in length. This is supported by a 75-tonne mobile crane for daily maintenance tasks. The site features deep-water berths with a depth of six metres and a purpose-built service quay that can accommodate up to eight yachts at once.

SYSC's integrated ecosystem includes administrative offices, specialist workshops, technical support zones, and secure equipment storage. On-site teams offer comprehensive services such as mechanical works, certified structural repairs, painting, carpentry, and interior refurbishment. The 10,000 sqm facility also includes an 80-metre service quay, multiple 60-metre berths, and heavy-lift capacity up to 600 tonnes.

Additionally, SYSC provides a spare parts shop and vessel registration services in collaboration with the Dubai Maritime Authority. The launch aligns with strong growth in the yacht sector and supports yachts operating in the Middle East, Indian Ocean, and routes to the Mediterranean. This initiative celebrates Gulf Craft's heritage, which originated in Ajman and now delivers prestigious superyachts worldwide.
