This draw, coinciding with Epiphany, has brought joy to localities affected by the DANA floods in Valencia and to Galician schoolchildren funding a trip. The second and third prizes have gone to 45875 and 32615, respectively.
The Extraordinary El Niño Lottery Draw 2026 took place on Tuesday, January 6, in the State Lotteries and Betting Hall in Madrid, starting at 12:00 and lasting about 20 minutes. In total, 770 million euros were distributed among 37,920 winning numbers, offering a higher probability of winning than the Christmas lottery, though with generally smaller amounts.
The first prize, endowed with two million euros per series (200,000 euros per ticket), went to number 06703, sold in dozens of Spanish localities, including Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia (such as Alfafar, Manises, and Quart de Poblet, affected by the 2024 DANA floods), Granada (Belicena), Pontevedra (O Porriño), Alicante, and many more. Andrés García from the Belicena administration expressed disbelief: “It can't be, it can't be.” In O Porriño, the La X de la Suerte administration sold one first-prize ticket and the second prize, benefiting students from IES Ribeira do Louro who were raising funds for a trip to Lanzarote.
The second prize, of 750,000 euros per series (75,000 euros per ticket), was for 45875, sold in Pontevedra, Madrid (including the El Elefante administration on Arenal, where Guillermo Magadán noted: “Our administration is blessed”), Barcelona, and Almería. The third prize, of 250,000 euros per series (25,000 euros per ticket), corresponded to 32615, in Burgos and Granada.
Additionally, prizes by endings were drawn: two digits (27, 54, 37, 44, 94, 40 euros); three digits (367, 643, 156, 325, 511, 058, 457, 510, 861, 640, 400, 887, 392, 248, 100 euros); four digits (3682, 1829, 350 euros); and refunds (0, 1, 3). Approximations award 1,200 euros to numbers adjacent to the first and 610 to the second. In Madrid, administrations like the one at Plaza de Castilla interchange opened hastily to celebrate sales, with Natalia Tudela commenting: “A lot of working people pass by here.”
This draw has spread joy in a year marked by natural disasters, especially in Valencian areas devastated by the DANA, where Emma Stepanyan from Alfafar said: “There was an atmosphere of joy, especially after the DANA.”
