Production is underway on the third season of the HBO Max medical drama The Pitt. Six actors have been added in recurring roles as the story moves forward with its core ensemble.
Malachi Beasley and Cheyenne Perez will portray med students Taj Osei and Marisol Elena Sambrano Monterossa. Rosanny Zayas joins as physician assistant Vera Delgado. Three additional performers have been cast as patients: Pruitt Taylor Vince as Lance Candella, also known as The Professor, Jeremy Radin as Grant Emerson, and Charlz Williams as Angus Gunn, referred to as Trigger.
The returning cast includes Noah Wyle as Dr. Robby, along with Katherine LaNasa, Patrick Ball, Isa Briones, Taylor Dearden, Fiona Dourif, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, Sepideh Moafi, Ayesha Harris, and Shawn Hatosy. Season 3 is set four months after the events of the previous finale and takes place in November.
Creator R. Scott Gemmill and star Noah Wyle have indicated that the new episodes will focus on Robby confronting his trauma after earlier seasons explored related themes. Wyle described the character's arc as one marked by thoughtfulness, caution, and a sense of possibility.
