This Is Lorelei announces new Matador album

This Is Lorelei has announced the upcoming release of a new album titled The Singer In My Band. The project marks Nate Amos' first release on Matador Records and is scheduled for September 11.

Amos described the record as an “on-the-road beatnik” album based on observations from his father, bluegrass musician Bob Amos. He said it collects “chaotic experiences that you have while travelling” along with “little works of fiction with elements of truth to them.”

Amos handled engineering, production, and performance duties on the album. His father contributes banjo on the title track. A lead single, “Billy Came Back,” is now available.

The release follows Amos’ 2025 album Holo Boy and 2024 album Box For Buddy, Box For Star. This Is Lorelei is also preparing a summer tour of North America with support from Bleachers, @, and Colin Miller, followed by dates in the UK and South America. Amos is currently touring with Water From Your Eyes, opening for Hayley Williams.
