TIFA poll shows Ruto leading 2027 presidential race

A national TIFA survey conducted in June shows President William Ruto with the highest support at 24 percent among 2027 presidential candidates.

The survey was carried out between June 13 and 22 and released on Friday. Among those opposing Ruto, 62 percent of Rigathi Gachagua supporters said he should back the strongest opposition candidate.

Senator Edwin Sifuna came second with 15 percent, followed by Fred Matiang’i at 14 percent and Kalonzo Musyoka at 13 percent. Gachagua received 7 percent.

The report noted that Sifuna’s popularity rose from an unmeasurable level in 2025 to 15 percent. ODM gained 20 percent support while UDA remained at 17 percent.
