Tinubu’s reforms repositioning Nigeria for long-term prosperity – Information Minister

Mohammed Idris, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, stated on Tuesday that President Bola Tinubu’s reforms are building long-term economic stability and investor confidence.

The comments came during a courtesy visit to Idris in Abuja by the APC Forum of Former Presiding Officers of State Houses of Assembly. The group was led by its chairman, Sen. Wasiu Esinlokun.

Idris highlighted reforms carried out in the first three years of the Tinubu administration. These include the removal of fuel subsidy, foreign exchange changes, growth in external reserves, and infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

He also noted expansion of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and continued efforts against insecurity. Idris said the steps had improved fiscal capacity for federal and state governments.

Esinlokun said the forum sought the ministry’s help to publicise its upcoming National Executive Council and Board of Trustees meeting. The minister confirmed that state media outlets would cover the event.
