Tudor launches Black Bay Ceramic with all-ceramic bracelet

Tudor has unveiled the Black Bay Ceramic, a new dive watch featuring an all-ceramic bracelet and a darkened aesthetic. The model, introduced at Watches and Wonders, includes a 41mm case and the METAS-certified Kenissi MT5602-U movement. It is priced at €7,110.

Tudor presented the Black Bay Ceramic during Watches and Wonders, showcasing a sandblasted 41mm case measuring 13.55mm thick with a 49.4mm lug-to-lug distance. The watch features beveled and mirror-polished edges for visual depth, a charcoal dial, and a ceramic bezel insert with a subtle sunray satin finish. The screw-down crown and bezel use black PVD-treated 316L steel, accented by the Tudor rose in relief, while applied markers contain dark-toned lume to enhance the overall dark look. Tudor described the bracelet as a significant achievement, given the challenges of working with ceramic material, which should make the watch lighter than its stainless steel counterparts and comfortable in varying temperatures. The Black Bay Ceramic is powered by the in-house Kenissi calibre MT5602-U, which has passed METAS Master Chronometer testing for precision between 0 and +5 seconds per day—stricter than COSC standards of -4 to +6 seconds. It offers a 70-hour power reserve and 200 meters of water resistance, aligning with the model's dive-watch heritage. Priced at €7,110, US$7,725, or CHF 6,300, the watch joins other new Tudor releases like the Monarch. Owners of previous Black Bay models have noted its wearable dimensions and promising real-world sizing due to its lightweight ceramic construction.
