Unpak student falls from third floor in suspected suicide

A Universitas Pakuan student in Bogor fell from the third floor of the Faculty of Economics and Business building on November 12, 2025, in what is suspected to be a suicide. A viral video shows the victim sitting on the boundary fence before falling. The victim is currently receiving intensive care at a hospital.

The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, November 12, 2025, when Ira Siti Nurazizah, a third-semester Management student at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas Pakuan (Unpak) in Bogor, fell from the third floor of the campus building. A short video uploaded by the Instagram account @sekitar_bogor captures the moments, showing the victim sitting on the boundary fence before falling backward.

Syahrul Bukhori (22), an FEB student and eyewitness, recounted seeing the victim leaning on the fence as he headed for an exam and Zuhr prayer. "I was just about to take an exam again, studying, then going down for Zuhr prayer. I saw her still leaning on the fence," he told VIVA Bogor on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

The event unfolded quickly. As Syahrul descended the stairs, the victim had already fallen. "When I was going down, she fell right away. I don't know how she fell, because when I went down she was already below. My position was still from across the building," he added. Reflexively, Syahrul ran to assist. "If you call it quick, yes I was quick, so people wouldn't crowd immediately. Still shocked too, because no one knew how she fell," he said.

With other students, he evacuated the victim to a safe spot before she was taken to Mayapada Hospital. "I helped lift her there. If I'm not mistaken, she was taken to Mayapada Hospital," Syahrul stated. Currently, Ira is undergoing intensive treatment, and her family has been contacted by the campus.

Police have stepped in to investigate the chronology. It is strongly suspected to be a suicide, based on a note of apology left by the victim for her parents. Bogor Tengah Police Chief, Commissioner Waluyo, confirmed the existence of the note.
