A woman was found dead in an apartment in southern Stockholm on Tuesday evening. Police are investigating suspected murder as they cannot rule out a crime. Her partner has been arrested.
On Tuesday evening, November 25, 2025, police were called to an apartment in southern Stockholm around 7 p.m. following a report of a medical emergency or cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, they found a woman dead in the residence, with her partner also present on site.
Due to unclear circumstances surrounding the death and the inability to rule out a crime, police have initiated a preliminary investigation classified as murder. Per Fahlström, police spokesperson, stated: "When we arrived, we found the woman dead in the apartment and her partner was also in the residence. There are certain circumstances around this death that mean we cannot entirely rule out that a crime has occurred."
The partner was arrested by police at the scene. A technical examination of the apartment was ongoing during the evening to determine what happened. Fahlström added: "We received a call about a medical emergency, and when we arrived at the scene, a woman was dead. There are unclear circumstances that mean we do not know how the woman died."
Police are working to establish the cause of the woman's death, but further details about the case are not known at this time.
