WRK launches cleaner ACF-03 watch model

WRK Timepieces has released the ACF-03, a new manual-wind watch featuring a minimalist dial and Grade 5 titanium construction. Founders Nasko Fezja and Caroline Castets designed it as a more accessible entry while maintaining the brand's technical focus. Pre-orders are now open, with deliveries expected in September.

The ACF-03 marks WRK's first model without openworking or skeletonization on the dial side. Its clean dial includes minimal markings, blue hour and minute hands, and an orange seconds hand. The case, described by Nasko as a 'tonneau pebble' shape, measures 36mm wide, 39mm lug-to-lug, and 8.5mm thick, prioritizing ergonomics with curved surfaces and a shaped crystal. The watch weighs 32 grams and comes with an Alcantara strap featuring a hook-and-loop closure and double-fold buckle, or a suede leather option. Clients can customize elements like the case, baseplate, bridges, and hands through WRK's bespoke program. The watch houses the manual-wind caliber AMB-02/1, engineered by Oisa 1937. This 3.5mm-thick movement operates at 3.5 Hz with a 60-hour power reserve. It incorporates an optimized split gear train, an Atokalpa free-sprung variable-inertia balance, KIF Elastor shock protection, and a stated accuracy of ±3 seconds per day. Nasko emphasized that WRK avoided mass-produced calibers and brass components, opting for Grade 5 titanium throughout the baseplate and bridges. He stated, 'As we are not a luxury brand, our value lies within engineering and design.' Priced at €7,924 before taxes and limited to 24 pieces, the ACF-03 offers skeletonized views from the caseback, revealing the movement's technical details. WRK described the rear design as evoking a racing engine aesthetic. Pre-orders are available via the brand's website or Instagram, with full materials to be added next week.
