Designer Yigal Azrouël presented his resort 2027 collection emphasizing technique and subtle details over bold statements. The lineup features blended fabrics and lightweight materials developed through hands-on processes.
Azrouël created a crewneck that merges a cashmere sweater with a denim jacket, where blue denim fades into soft gray cashmere. The technique involves washing, gluing, and brushing by hand, resulting in unique pieces each time. He also introduced an ultra-lightweight funnel-neck trench coat made from leather that feels like nylon. A sporty windbreaker stands out for being windproof after the leather is shaved thin and reinforced. Azrouël maintained a masculine-meets-feminine approach with added prep elements. The designer recently opened a new Madison Avenue store aimed at Upper East Side customers, noting that both mothers and daughters can shop there.
