Kansas head coach Bill Self offered a cautious update on freshman Darryn Peterson's hamstring and quad issues ahead of the Jayhawks' Big 12 opener against UCF. Peterson has been practicing but remains uncertain for the game. The team and Peterson's family agree he should only return when fully healthy.
